How does it work?
- Every month Arts Emergency Young Talent and mentors add requests to the Wish List.
- Arts Emergency sends the Wish List to our Network members via our newsletter. If you can help, simply tick the box next to the request and write a brief description. If you know someone else who could help, please forward this page directly to them to fill out.
- We send Wish List responses and offers to the young people and they confirm which one they would like to follow up with.
- We contact the Network member and then connect them to the young person (and their mentor if they're under 18) via email.
Connecting with our young people
If you have offered and are chosen to give advice to a young person, firstly, you’ll receive an email from an Arts Emergency staff member introducing you to the young person. If the young person is under 18, their mentor will also be introduced and cc’d in the email and you will have to keep them included in all your communications. We expect networking between our Young Talent and volunteers to be done over email, video call or in person.
For more guidance on networking, please see our Networking resource page.
Gifts
Arts Emergency will accept gifts and pass on to young members on their behalf. Network members who offer a gift in support of a young person will be required to have read and agree to follow the rules outlined in our Guidance on gift giving.
